Ideas for holidays, weekends and trips in Cesson-Sévigné and its surroundings

Rennes is a magnificent city, and as capital of the region of Brittany, there is much to see and do here - you'll have an amazing time! Rennes is home to no fewer than eighty-five historic monuments, so do make sure to see some of them. Many churches are on this list, including the Saint-Pierre Cathedral, which was built in the 16th century and was completed in the mid-19th century, and the Saint-Sauveur Basilica, constructed in the 18th century, is another great edifice on the list of historic monuments. Elsewhere in the city, the Fine Art museum is home to a grand collection of paintings, sculpture, engravings and artefacts, including works by Picasso, Gauguin and Rodin.

Around the city, see if you can spot the influences of the Breton language and culture. Once in decline, there is now much being done to promote Brittany's mother tongue and culture - find out if there are any festivals or events happening during your stay. Breton cuisine is something not to be missed either. The local specialties include the crêpe and galette (types of pancake which can be sweet or savoury), and the Parlementin de Rennes is a famous pastry made of almonds, apples and cider. Enjoy your stay at the Premiere Classe RENNES EST - Cesson hotel!
